Clouds. The first step in everyone's journey of imagination and creativity. All of us have come up with crazy stories regarding clouds and their shapes when we were younger. Now things are a lot different. Now not only have we grown up but we also have limitations due to our society. We have restrictions which when broken result in something unique and extraordinary and are not often accepted at first. But creativity helps us get rid of the old and come in with the new and introduce change.
Beginning from clouds we all have come a long way. We all have different perceptions of the same cloud. This shows how differently we think and how different is our thought process after taking in the given image. It's like how we look at a splatter of paint. Some may give it a shape or a face, all in all we will end up with a story that's completely unique.

New module and new stuff!

Since my second semester started three weeks ago I have come across various things that I have to do because of which I haven't had the chance to really update my blog with day to day activities but with the latest module I will finally have a chance to upload stuff every now and then. The module I am talking about is called Design Process. Remember the earlier posts about Creative Thinking? It is somewhat like that but more dense and requires much more research and thought. Basically it is more about having a problem and finding solutions for it. THERE IS AN ENTIRE PROCESS. Loads of trial and error involved. I am sure it is going to be fun and hectic. So the topic I got for this module is called Canteen too small. So I have to find out why is it so small? Who is it affecting? What can be done? and all that stuff. In my teacher's words, I have to put myself in their shoes and write everything from their or rather my point of view. The people who are being affected are called the stakeholders. I had come up with four stakeholders, two primary stakeholders and two secondary. The primary holders were the students and founders of the school whereas the secondary stakeholders were the cooks and the visitors. In the end I only had to work with two which are students and founders because a) the cooks have no say in the entire thing because it's their job and b) the visitors are considered as students who are visiting the school for educational purposes.

The beginning:
I know it's a pretty long post but what can I do? The entire module needs a proper introduction and if you don't know what's going on then how can you understand the entire process step by step?
For the very first step in the design process which is finding out the problems, we had to make a chart with all the problems written on them. The problems ranged from lack of funds to fast food joints around the campus. We had to list each and every cause that came in our minds. It was a bit tough because we didn't know what to list and what not to but in the end we managed to come up with something. Don't think that we did it half-heartedly (which is lack of spirit or enthusiasm) because we surely racked every cell in our brain to come up with sensible reasons.
Now that we are done with the so called problems we have to come up with the problems which are faced by our stakeholders and present it in such a way that it's interesting. It can be a sketch book, a blog post or a video. I thought of making a video out of the entire thing. A funny one. Nobody likes watching a boring video so get ready to watch silly videos and retakes of our adventure. I hope you guys find it as interesting and fun as much as my group mates and I do!

cheerio!

Before I forget :P

Okay so before I forget to wish you all a very happy and blessed new year, I think I should just go ahead and say it :P Technically I was supposed to wish you guys about 24 hours earlier but I was just lazy and I was getting my dreads extended because they were looking like a plastic plant and NOW they reach my waist! Can you believe that and also I just realised that I can type without looking at the keyboard :P I couldn't earlier so I am quite proud of it :D
SO
A VERY HAPPY NEW YEAR TO WHOSOEVER IS READING THIS! I hope you are blessed with prosperity, good luck and everything nice, the rest requires hard work and with that fruits of labour will come, so enjoy what you reap from the seed you sow.
Have fun :D :*
